MedicalTourism.com.au is an independent Australian publisher of risks-first guides to elective treatment overseas for adults in Australia.
Our mission
Help Australians understand the risks, logistics, costs and aftercare of medical travel — before they compare quotes. We put complications, flying risk and follow-up care in Australia ahead of destination marketing.
What we do
- Publish destination, procedure, cost and planning guides written for Australian readers
- Cite primary sources (Australian agencies, destination regulators, peer-reviewed guidance)
- Mark prices as Price on request, get quotes from clinics until a dated, verifiable figure is attached
- Show a medical reviewer only once a named Ahpra-registered reviewer is attached
- Disclose ownership and sister-site relationships on How we make money
What we do not do
- Recommend or rank clinics, hospitals or surgeons
- Publish patient testimonials, star ratings or AggregateRating markup
- Show before-and-after images or beach-and-surgery holiday framing
- Invent prices, ABN details, JCI badge counts or clinical outcome claims
- Offer personal medical, legal, financial or insurance advice
How we cite
- Authoring organisation: MedicalTourism.com.au
- Factual claims link to primary sources; each page ends with a dated Sources list
- Prices show Price on request, get quotes from clinics until dated and verified; a medical reviewer is shown only once a named Ahpra-registered reviewer is attached
- We do not invent statistics, ABN details, JCI badge counts or outcome rates
- Full rules: editorial policy
Independence and standards
We are a publisher, not a clinic directory or medical travel agency. Editorial rules live in our editorial policy. Legal limits of the content are in our medical disclaimer. Medical review process and status are explained on the medical review board page.
